Writing down your personal and/or professional goals is a vitally important step to actually accomplishing them. But writing them down is just the beginning.

Three other keys to accomplishing your goals are:

  • Keeping your goals before you.
Create a vision board, write your goals on index cards and stick them to a wall, or write them down in a journal. View your goals regularly and keep them at the forefront of your thoughts.

  • Create actionable steps for each goal.
Don’t overwhelm yourself. Break goals down into several manageable steps.

  • Set deadlines.
Some goals can be accomplished relatively easily in a short amount of time while others may take several months to accomplish. Take an honest look at your goals and determine the amount of time you believe it will take to complete them. Set a deadline to use as a guide to help you
